You will visit one of Colombia’s most picturesque towns and visit the famous El Peñol rock, climbing 740 stairs to the top of this gigantic boulder, whose peak stands majestically at 7,000 feet above sea level. From the top of the rock you will enjoy an amazing 360-degree view of the man­made lake, that has sunken an entire town (El Peñol), with the vision of producing electricity for the country.

From there we will make our way to the Plaza Botero, appreciating the Sculptures of Fernando Botero and entering the amazing checkered building which was the Government Palace, currently the House of Culture. Then we are off to ride on the Metro and the first Metro Cable (Gondola) to admire the views of the most humble towns of Medellin. At last, we will have the option of driving through the Barrios, entering the Aquarium, Planetarium, Botanical Garden, the Cathedral or stopping at one of the many beautiful Shopping Centers the City has to offer.

But, he also managed to make many enemies that made his life a turmoil, until his life was finally brought to an end.

  • The house where on December 2nd 1993, he was shot and killed by Colombian Special Forces.
  • The Cathedral, the Jail Pablo built for himself in a negotiation to turn himself in.

La Macarena

La Macarena golf course is located in Rionegro, just 20 minutes from the Jose Maria Cordoba International Airport and 1 hour from the city of Medellin. It is a beautiful and demanding course where you will find small and fast greens, some narrow fairways approximately 40 yards wide, five par 3 of which four are longer than 200 yards and one 180 yards with a very difficult green for the slope.
